About the Summit

The 2009 BC Land Summit was an interdisciplinary conference organized by six professional organizations, all of which share ties to land use in British Columbia. Following on the success of the first BC Land Summit in 2004, each of the partner organizations held its annual conference as part of this exciting joint venture. With a focus on building stronger relationships between the professions, the BC Land Summit offered opportunities to:

    * Learn how other professions view current and emerging land use issues in British Columbia
    * Discuss and debate different points of view, and different problem solving methods
    * Meet practitioners of other land use professions
    * Hear superior keynote speakers who will stimulate your thinking
    * Find out how to develop interdisciplinary opportunities and how to create more productive working relationships

The most recent BC Land Summit was held May 20th – 22nd, 2009, in Whistler British Columbia. A future Summit may be planned by the organizers at a future date.
