The 2009 BC Land Summit was a highly successful interdisciplinary conference organized by six professional organizations, all of whom share ties to land use in British Columbia and who combined their 2009 annual conferences into this exciting joint venture.

The 2009 BC Land Summit built on the success of the 2004 BC Land Summit in Vancouver, and again provided opportunities to learn, share ideas, collaborate and network with others working in diverse land-related fields.

The Summit was held in Whistler, British Columbia, May 20th – 22nd, 2009. Thank you to everyone who attended and participated!

Thanking Presenters & Giving Back!

The organizers are pleased to recognize the contributions of the many participating presenters at the 2009 BC Land Summit, while giving back to the community. In lieu of typical presenter gifts, we are pleased to have made a donation on their collective behalf to the Whistler Community Services Society, in support of the Whistler Food Bank program. Thank you to all the participating presenters! Whistler Community Services Society supports social sustainability in Whistler by providing programs and services that improve the ability of Whistler community members to meet their needs and enhance their lives. They graciously accept this donation on behalf of all presenters at the BC Land Summit.

Thank you all the BC Land Summit registrations who donated to our Carbon Offset Program. Over $500 has been raised for the Valhalla Mile: A Precious Place on Slocan Lake project. To learn more about the project click HERE.
